Since I was a kid, I've always had a fascination with technology and music. From using the good ol' floppy disk macs, to handheld tape cameras my first editing started by making videos of me and my buddies skateboarding in the summer. 8 years later, I'd be filming Steve Miller Band's "Abracadabra" at Warren Haynes, Christmas Jam. Originally a saxophone player, then morphed into a drummer, 13 years later, I'm still smashing the drums and performing up and down the eastern United States. During that time, I also sought out a degree in media production. It was something about collaborating with your peers, all working towards a common goal, that I just couldn't get enough of, similar to being in a band. I started out shooting concerts and man, being part of the show was a hair-lifting, goosebumps creating, experience. It was a way to blend all of the three loves of mine together. That first year of work really opened me up to all the amazing opportunities that could lie ahead.
For the last 10 years, I've been working with all sorts of amazing creatives all over the country, whether they be in the film/video field or in the music industry, and I've enjoyed every second of it.
Some days I get to travel out of country to film a once-in-a-lifetime customer experience or design sound for this epic VFX piece for a shoe that flies all the way into the micro level. Other days I get to work alongside other musicians, helping them produce the music that they have spent so much time and sweat crafting for themselves and their biggest supporters.
Those are the moments that continue to inspire me to do what I do.
